One Image Review- Fox Marvel Movies Are On Sale
By Marc | July 18th, 2013

The various Marvel films that Fox has made are on sale on Blu-ray for $60. We here at the Fanboy Review decided we needed to review these films for our audience so they could make an educated decision on if they should spend their cash. Unfortunately we just didn’t have the time. So instead, a short review of each film on one image.

Siege #1 Review
By Rachel Oliver | January 12th, 2010

In the immediate aftermath of Dark Reign comes Marvel’s next big crossover event, Siege. This event is being hyped as perhaps the biggest, most important one in years for the Marvel Universe; a culmination of everything since Avengers Disassembled, and the end of an era. It’s an awful lot to live up to, and comic promotion by a publisher is naturally full of exaggeration. But is the series really going to be that grand? Looking at the first issue, it’s a little hard to tell. Continue reading

Avengers Season 2?
By Marc | September 15th, 2009

I recently got some info that the cast of the upcoming Avengers cartoon (which recently wrapped recording for Season 1) have been informed that Season 2 has already been greenlit based on the quality of episodes coming in.

One thing of interest to add.  Recently Marvel regained animated and television rights to Spider-Man, is it possible the wall crawler may feature in Season 2?

Amazing Spider-Man #600 Review
By Justin | July 26th, 2009

At first I’d planned to kick this off with a joke, and then I realized I am just not that funny. So, whatever, its Spider-Man!

So, Spidey’s made something of a milestone for himself in the comic world with his book, The Amazing Spider-Man, reaching its 600th issue. Six hundred issues. That’s an impressive number of books, to say the least. I can’t even fathom what such a collection would look like.

But that isn’t the only thing Marvel had in store for us, simply not content to let a momentous occasion like this to slip by, the book boasts over one hundred pages and a variety of short stories.

There’s seriously a lot of book here. Now to find out if it lives up to its special treatment…. Continue reading

Lockjaw and the Pet Avengers #1 Review
By Rachel Oliver | May 24th, 2009

Marvel Comics has begun a new miniseries that may just be one of the greatest ideas of all time: a series starring Lockjaw and other famous super animals from the Marvel universe. This includes Kitty Pryde’s Lockheed, Falcon’s Redwing, Speedball’s Niels (AKA “Hairball”), Aunt May’s Ms. Lion, and…a frog Thor? What?

The Avengers- Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, Casting Info
By Marc | October 14th, 2008

Little nugget of exclusive (as far as I’m aware) info from your friendly neighborhood SpiderMarc…

The new Avengers cartoon will be recorded at anime favorite studio Studiopolis, and they are currently in the midst of trying out some of your favorite actors.  Could we get a Crispin Freeman Ant Man?  A Kyle Hebert Thor?  Wendee Lee as the Wasp?  Who knows, but it’ll be interesting (and does this bode well for a Steve Blum guest appearance as everyone’s favorite snikt bub mutant Wolverine?)

Not really an anime actor, but I’d love Frank Welker to get cast as Hulk and do his Krunk voice.

{That cast stuff is just me theorizing, minus a few people I have no knowledge of anyone specific trying out..}

….AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Will update with more when/if I’m allowed to say more…
