the bluray is definatly region A & B, so buying from america, will definatly play on a UK bluray player or PS3

Overall I dislike Kai a lot
They killed the voices, vegeta and frieza especially
The diologue is kinda corny I prefer the original
The picture is good at some times but I enjoy the sketchiness of the original
But the worst is the editing out of all the fight and death scenes anything with blood
Violence is cut out just makes it terrible
The REAL dbz isn’t ment for today’s nickalodean
C- anyway good review

It’s an exellent release! I just finished disk 1 and loved every minute of it.
The dub is fucking fantastic! It’s damn near close to the Japanese script, Okay FUNi..Now work on DBZ instead^^

Truthfully, I forgot Bulma was recast until the day after my review. I figured they just had Vollmer try a different voice until I remembered the next day that it was Rial.

I enjoyed Rial’s Bulma quite a bit, but chose not to edit and add any comments into the review because I skipped over it, and it didn’t occur to me at the time that it was someone new.

It’s a great voice mind you, when you compare them it is quite a bit smoother and less screechy than the Z Bulma. But I can also see people thinking what I thought when I was writing. While for Gohan and the Narrator there is no possible way to think they are the same people.

Hope that answers your question and explains my two reasons for not mentioning her in the review.

And yes Smegalot, as I said in my review, it is labeled Region A and B.

I was curious as to what your opinion of Monica Rial’s Bulma was for this dub? I knew she was changed, and I wasn’t sure of how should would do for playing Bulma.

Ahhh…nice review man. Sorry I didn’t get to writing a comment until now. i agree, Toei should have just re-done the series from scratch, instead of this mess. I would have rathered that. In fact I would have bought that. But Kai? I think I’ll pass, despite missing out on what seems to be a really good dub.
