[...] Fanboy Review first revealed news of the company was working on dubs of Wakusei Robot Danguard Ace, Fist of the North Star, SF Saiyuki: Starzinger, Space Knight Tekkaman, Nadja, Captain Harlock,….and Gaiking. Initially, I thought that Starzinger and Danguard Ace might be carryovers from Force Five, and that we’d be getting a reissue of Tekkaman’s original series. The latter got me rather excited as, hey, it’s the original frigging Tekkaman series and it’s actually slick! Meanwhile, Gaiking had been repeatedly mentioned at cons by Robert Axelrod, with further confusion as to whether or not this is the 2005 series or the original 70’s version: The only cast member I’ve been able to confirm directly has been Robert Axelrod (most would know him as Lord Zedd from Power Rangers) who is playing ‘Darius’, the primary villain in Gaiking.
"Discotek Media recently released a new DVD of the movie Streamline released on VHS, and I hear they kicked ass on it."

I heard they did not kick ass on it; in fact, this DVD has been criticized for bad translation.

I would be totally on board for a bilingual release of Hokuto No Ken; it'd go nicely with my Dragon Ball and JoJo stuff. :D

Daniel-
Currently, ADV/Section23/Sentai Films [lots of names, same folks] has the rights to the New FOTNS OVA series [the one with Gackt in it], and the Legend of the Dark Kings/Raoh Gaiden TV series [they're doing a subbed boxset]. Discotek Media recently released a new DVD of the movie Streamline released on VHS, and I hear they kicked ass on it.

The first 36 episodes of the FOTNS tv series were previously released on VHS and DVD bilingually by Manga Entertainment, though those are now OOP as their rights expired three or so years ago.

As Marc said, Funi's just streaming those titles, which Toei is also streaming elsewhere. I'm curious what'll result from all of this- I'm guessing they'll be using Toei's existing subtitles, and am surprised to see new dubs for all the shows. I'm guessing they got a good deal with Toei, or reallllly beleive in these titles [or possibly both :)]

Funi has streaming rights to those two titles from Toei USA, who streams them a number of ways thru a few different companies.

Winckler has actually been around for quite some time, in fact they're the ones responsible for the infamous "SPACE LANCE!" dub of the original Tekkaman! For them to make a comeback now would be interesting....

I don't any of these except Hokuto No Ken and that anime kicks ass! Some of the movies were dubbed and it sucked so I'm just gonna stick with the subs, unless I find a good dub
