I’m with Aquien on this one; it seems as though they’ve completely neglected the quality of the video and especially the music behind it (bruce faulconer, who did an AMAZING job) and just shoved the japanese music under it and put it into a format that we don’t even remember enjoying. I hate all remastering’s, especially the job they did on Star Wars. The whole appeal of it was that it was amazing in its time. Why do they not think about it being in its original state?

Very nice article. It answered all my questions about the releases, but for the record the edited vhs series did not fully completed 4 tapes never got released.
I wonder if the Dragon Box will release this year

If only we can get the Ocean cast back to do an uncut version dub. Their voices were far better than Funimation’s in-house VAs.

I’m lucky enough to own the Pioneer DVDs for the first three movies, which has the Ocean cast, but with the original score, and completely uncut.
